Muse

The essence of a brand

Prologue

Muse is an interior and architectural design firm that focuses on functionality, ergonomics, aesthetics and respect for the environment in its projects.

Mandate

Logo redesign

The story

Muse’s founder, interior designer Émilie Parent, wanted to redefine her brand image to better reflect the timelessness of her work and the functional, ergonomic side of creating living spaces.

The mandate was entrusted to Alexie from Storyline, who kept all this in mind when designing the logo. Émilie also had a concept idea that we used as a basis, which we took to another level, while retaining the essence of the company.

Creation process

  • The organization of solids and voids creates the letters of a timeless logo, reflecting the creation of spaces in which voids occupy an essential place.
  • The use of sans-serif typography with subtle variations of solid and wavy lines gives the logo a modern yet warm feel.
  • The 3 strokes repeated to form certain letters are isolated to create a repeating motif that consolidates the brand’s concept and visual identity.
  • These lines fill the gaps left in the logo, a nod to the importance of negative spaces in architecture.

Creation process

  • The image that emerges is timeless, reflecting the creation of spaces in which voids play an essential role. It is the organization of objects and voids that create the letters of the logo.
  • The use of sans-serif typography, with variations in full and loose strokes, gives the logo a modern yet warm feel.
  • The 3 strokes repeated to form certain letters are isolated to create a repeating motif that consolidates the brand’s concept and visual identity.
  • These lines fill the gaps left in the logo, a nod to the importance of negative spaces in architecture.
"For me, the result was striking, because it felt as if the proposed logo had always existed, and was only revealed to me at that moment! It was obvious, I recognized it!
